Nothing seems to be able to stop record new car sales in the Czech Republic, up another 14% year-on-year in September to 18.156 registrations – the best September score ever recorded, lifting the year-to-date up 21% to an all-time high 171.010 deliveries after 9 months, already above the Full Year 2013 (164.036) with three months to spare! Keep in mind though that roughly 17% of all new car registrations in the Czech Republic are immediately re-exported towards other European Union nations. The Skoda Fabia posts a third consecutive month in pole position at home with a stunning 11.5% market share – its highest so far for this generation – vs. 10.8% for the Octavia. However the Octavia stays well ahead year-to-date at 10.4% vs. 8.7%, and the rankings are also reversed when only taking into account real sales – that is reported sales minus re-exports – with the Octavia at 1.868 vs. 1.773 for the Fabia. Notice also the Skoda Superb up to #5, the Ford Fiesta back up 9 spots on August to #6 (100% re-exported though), the Nissan Qashqai up 20 to #9, the Hyundai Tucson up 11 to #25 and the Fiat 500X breaking into the Top 40 at #38.
