Colombia October 2015: Mazda, Foton and Hino up, market down 29%
Mazda sales are up 34% year-on-year in a Colombian market down 29%.

Each month the Colombian new car market is falling further into recession, with sales down an abysmal 29% year-on-year in October to just 22.407 units, pulling the year-to-date total down 10.5% to 232.779. Market leader Chevrolet follows the market at -27% to 6.049 sales and 27% share, three percentage points above its year-to-date level of 24%. Renault continues to catch up with sales down just 10% and resulting in a strong 18.1% share vs. 17.2% year-to-date. Kia (-30%) and Nissan (-18%) follow while Mazda impresses once again with deliveries up a whopping 34% to 1.433 and 6.4% market share vs. 3.4% a year ago. In fact, Foton, up 4% and overtaking Chery this month to become the #1 Chinese brand, and Hino (+19%) are the only two other manufacturers to improve their volume year-on-year in the Top 30.
