Ireland September 2015: Dacia Duster up to 2nd place

The Irish new car market is up a very solid 22% year-on-year in September to 4.771 registrations, lifting the year-to-date total to 121.099 units, up 30% on 2014. Volkswagen (+46%) dominates the brands ranking above Ford, Nissan (both up 42%), Toyota (-10%), BMW (-18%) and Skoda (+42%). Dacia is up a spectacular 180% and Suzuki up 329%. In the models ranking, the VW Golf is faithful to the pole position it holds year-to-date with sales up 34%, and this month it is followed by the Dacia Duster up 4-fold on September 2014 to 168 sales and 3.5% while the Ford Mondeo round up the podium for the 2nd month running.
