Belgium September 2015: Mercedes C-Class doubles sales to #2

The Mercedes C-Class is the 2nd best-selling vehicle in Belgium in September.

The Belgian new car market is up 2% year-on-year in September to 41.266 registrations including light commercials, lifting the year-to-date total to 442.161 units, up 3% on 2014. As is the norm in very fragmented Belgium, no nameplate commands over 2.8% market share with the VW Golf faithful to its traditional pole position with 1.158 sales. The hero of the month is the Mercedes C-Class, up 12 spots on August to land at a stunning 2nd place overall thanks to 867 deliveries for a 2.1% share, up 95% year-on-year. The Renault Clio (+16%) stays third, followed by the VW Polo (+39%), Citroen Berlingo (+22%) and Fiat 500 (-12%). Notice also the VW Passat up 126%, the Mercedes CLA up 46% to #22, the Hyundai Tucson up 75 ranks on August to #34 and the Renault Kadjar up 24 to #54.
