The Austrian new car market is up 5% year-on-year in June to 30.462 registrations, however the year-to-date total halfway through 2015 is still in negative at -3% to 161.633 units. Below Volkswagen down 2% to 5.135 units and 16.9% share, Opel is up a beautiful 10% on June 2014 to 2.309 sales and 7.6%, Skoda is up 17% to 7.2% and Audi is up a magnificent 30% to 6.8% share, more than one percentage percent of market share above its year-to-date level, up 3 spots on May and two spots on its 2015 ranking. Notice also (in ranking order) Ford up 16%, Fiat up 23%, Peugeot up 12%, Nissan up 44%, Suzuki up 62%, Volvo up 50%, Jeep up 163%, Smart up 115%, Tesla up 5-fold and Jaguar up 109%. Model-wise, the VW Golf stays sovereign at 6.2% share while the Skoda Fabia jumps 3 spots on May to #2, the VW Polo and Passat are both up 8 ranks to #4 and #9 respectively, the Ford Fiesta leaps from outside the May Top 20 directly to #6, the Hyundai i30 is up to #11, the Opel Mokka up to #12 and the Audi A4 back up to #15.
