Greece May 2015: Nissan Qashqai leaps onto podium

Greek new car sales are up a robust 22% year-on-year in May to 9.070 registrations, lifting the year-to-date total to 34.142 units, up 16% on 2014. Like in March, May and June last year, Nissan brilliantly takes the lead of the brands ranking thanks to 968 deliveries and 10.7% share (+12%), above Toyota (+27%) still #1 year-to-date, Peugeot (+148%) and Volkswagen (+9%). Notice also Fiat and Mercedes both up 70%, Citroen up 75%, Kia up 95%, Volvo up 128%, Smart up 11-fold thanks to the Forfour and Jeep up 30-fold thanks to the Renegade. In the models ranking, the Toyota Yaris is back to the pole position it holds year-to-date, followed by the Opel Corsa, Nissan Qashqai and VW Polo, leader last month. The Peugeot 108 is up 13 spots on last month to #8, the Volvo V40 up 7 to #10, the Suzuki Celerio up a further 3 to a best-ever #13 and the Hyundai i10 up 25 to #14.
