This year the Czech new car market is pushing boundaries of what we thought possible up until now. After breaking an all-time record last month at 21.155 registrations, April sales, up 18% year-on-year, mark only the 2nd month in history over 20.000 monthly deliveries at 20.360. Year-to-date, sales of light vehicles in the Czech Republic are up a solid 22% to 73,895 units. Skoda is up 28% to 7.092 sales and 34.4% share, monopolising the Top 4 with the Octavia (10.8%), Fabia (7.7%), Rapid (5.8%) and Superb (3.6%) in the lead and the entire lineup fitting within the Top 9 with the Citigo at #7, Yeti at #8 and Roomster at #9. Volkswagen is up a whopping 48% to 2.450 units and 11.9. In fact, this month the Volkswagen Group (including Seat and Porsche) holds 51% of the Czech market.
