The Danish new car market is on fire: up 17% year-on-year in March to 19,649 registrations, the strongest monthly result in over a year and bringing the year-to-date total to 49,278 units, up 3% on 2014. Volkswagen reclaims the brands top spot with 2,256 sales and 11.5% share above Peugeot at 1,600 units and 8.1%, Ford at 8% and Renault at 6.9%. In the models ranking, after the Peugeot 108 put an end to 29 consecutive months of VW Up reign in January and held onto the #1 spot in February, the VW Up is back in the lead thanks to a strong 803 sales and 4.1% share. Even though it is down to a paltry 26th place in March, the Peugeot 108 is still #1 year-to-date for now at 1,984 sales and 4% share vs. 1,856 and 3.8% for the Up at #3. The Ford Ka is up 21 ranks on last month to #2, the Hyundai i20 up 32 to #7, the Nissan Micra up 16 to #14 and the Suzuki Celerio up 133 to #29.
