Hungary Full Year 2014: Octavia #1, Opel Mokka at world best

The Hungarian new light vehicle market is up a robust 23% year-on-year in 2014 to 83,413 registrations including LCVs. Ford dominates with 13% share above Opel at 12.2% and Volkswagen at 8.5% and the Skoda Octavia is the most successful nameplate in the country for the 2nd year running with just under 4,000 deliveries, followed by the Ford Focus like in 2013 while the Opel Astra is back on the podium thanks to sales up 36%, knocking the Dacia Duster down to #4.
The Opel Corsa is up 55% to #6, the Skoda Rapid up 76% to #8, the Opel Mokka breaks into the annual Top 10 of its first country in the world thanks to 1,259 sales, excellent start of the Suzuki SX4 S-Cross at #11 with 1,197 deliveries and the Ford Mondeo is reborn: up 47% to #13. Now that Light Commercial Vehicles are included in the models ranking we welcome the Fiat Ducato at #8, the Ford Ranger at #18 and the Ford Transit at #19.
