Danish new car sales could have come to a crossroads: they are down year-on-year for the third time in the past 4 months in February at a worrying -8% to 13,598 units, bringing the year-to-dat total to 29,629 registrations, down 4% on 2014. Peugeot did it: after the 108 shockingly put an end to 29 consecutive months of VW Up reign in Denmark last month, the diminutive Peugeot confirms it is the new kid on the block and lodges a second straight month in the Danish pole position thanks to 596 sales and 4.4% share, only 3 units above its big sister the Peugeot 208 in 2nd place. The VW Up is back up from a dismal #6 in January to #3 and also ranks #3 year-to-date. Notice also the Hyundai i10 up to #8, the VW Passat up 30 spots on last month to #14, the Citroen C4 Cactus up 4 to #19 and the Kia Cee’d up 30 to #24.
