It’s a very harsh start of the year for new car sales in New Caledonia, a small French Overseas Territory located north-east of Australia: -26% in January to just 628 registrations. In this turbulent environment, Ford jumps to a fantastic 16.7% market share thanks to 105 sales while Dacia overtakes Renault, Peugeot and Citroen to land at a record 2nd place with 9.4% share. The Ranger remains the best-selling nameplate on the archipelago with a very robust 10.7%, followed this month by the Dacia Duster at a strong 5.1%, the Ford Fiesta, Isuzu D-Max and Toyota Hilux. The Citroen C4 Cactus shines at #8.
