Based on data communicated by Central European market data specialists www.ceauto.co.hu, 1.422 new car sales occurred in Serbia in November, bringing the year-to-date total to 18.551 after 11 months. For the first time since last March, the locally-produced Fiat 500L is the best-seller ‘at home’ thanks to 83 deliveries for a 5.8% market share. This year’s slump was potentially due to the idling of the 500L production during summer due to slow Europe-wide sales. The 500L is now 65 units below year-to-date leader the Skoda Fabia (1.023 vs. 1.088), a gap that may prove to large to overcome in just one month in order to reclaim the pole position the 500L held over the Full Year 2013. Further down the ranking, the Hyundai ix35 is up to #5, the Fiat Doblo up to #7, the Fiat Ducato remains solid at #8 and the Fiat Punto Classic, #2 in 2013, is back inside the monthly Top 10 at #10.
