New car sales in Greece are up a robust 21% year-on-year to 6,003 deliveries, bringing the year-to-date total to 59,847 units, up 22% on 2013. Brand-wise, Volkswagen posts an outstanding month at 13.6% share vs. 9.6% YTD, enabling the brand to jump from #4 to #2 YTD – a position it held over the Full Year 2013. VW places the Polo at #2 and 5.9% share vs. 4% YTD and the Golf at #4 and 4.9% vs. 2.7% YTD. Toyota follows at a very consistent 11%, ahead of Opel, Nissan and Fiat in the same order as the year-to-date ranking. Passed by the Opel Corsa last month, the Toyota Yaris reclaims the models charts leadership thanks to 383 sales and 6.4%, however this is not enough to dislodge the Corsa from its year-to-date pedestal.
