Austria September 2014: Opel Corsa and Mokka in great shape

New car sales in Austria are down 2% year-on-year in September to 24,863 registrations, bringing the year-to-date total to 237,363 units, down 4% on 2013. Volkswagen continues to dominate the brands ranking head and shoulders with 17% share this month, double any other manufacturer. Opel is up 15% on September 2013 to grab the 2nd spot overall thanks to 2,125 sales and 8.5% share, ahead of Hyundai (+5%), Skoda (-18%) and Ford (-4%). Model-wise, Volkswagen delivers a 1-2 with the Golf (7.1% share) and Polo (3.9%) topping the ranking and both above their year-to-date levels. The Hyundai i20 climbs onto the podium for the 2nd time in the last 3 months at #3, the Skoda Octavia is back up 3 spots to #4, the Opel Corsa enjoys runout prices and a ranking lifted to #5 vs. #16 year-to-date while the Opel Mokka breaks into the Austrian Top 10 for the 2nd time ever after last February (#4). Notice also the Ford Fiesta up to #12, the Opel Astra up to #13, Audi Q3 up to #17 and Mazda3 up to #19.
