Qatar June 2014: Toyota Hilux edges past Land Cruiser

The Qatari new car market is up a splendid 21% year-on-year in June to 7,967 registrations, bringing the half-year total up 12% to 47,461 units. While the Toyota Land Cruiser still holds the models ranking crown year-to-date (8.9% share) as it did over the Full Year 2013, this month the Toyota Hilux jumps into pole position thanks to 536 sales and 6.7%, 7 meagre units above the Land Cruiser. The Toyota Corolla is up to third place at 358 units and 4.5% vs. #5 year-to-date, the Mitsubishi Lancer EX is up to #4 vs. #8 year-to-date and the Toyota Camry up to #7 vs. #10. Other great performers in Qatar this month include the Hyundai Elantra up to #15 vs. #26, the VW Jetta up to #29 vs. #69 and the BMW 3 Series up to #31 vs. #62.
