Slovakia April 2014: Skoda Octavia reclaims year-to-date #1 spot

Traditionally with a little delay, Slovak data is now available for April with a total of 6,431 new light vehicles for the month country-wide, adding up to 24,564 units year-to-date including LCVs. The top sellers confirm the ‘back to normal’ trend we observed in March with the podium 100% Skoda for the 2nd month running. The Octavia leads the way with 332 sales and 5.2% and logically reclaims the year-to-date top spot off the VW Golf at 1,295 units and 5.3% vs. 1,274 and 5.2%. The Golf is now also under threat from the Skoda Rapid, #2 in April and #3 year-to-date at 1,245 sales and 5.1% with the Fabia in tow.

The Peugeot 2008 misses out on the Slovak Top 10 for 4 units this month.

Further down, notice the Kia Sportage back up 8 spots on last month to #8, the Peugeot 2008 up 10 to a record #12, Seat Leon up 9 to #16, Mitsubishi ASX up 11 to #17, Seat Ibiza up 30 to #18 and BMW 3 Series up 43 to #24. The Qoros 3 is back in the ranking at #145 with a still extremely discreet 8 units sold.
