Cyprus May 2014: Toyota Yaris leads, Volvo XC60 up to #6

Thanks to data provided by SEMO Cyprus and analysed by INNOSOFT, I can share with you the models ranking for Cyprus over the first 5 months of 2014. Over the period, new car sales are up 16% year-on-year to 3,563 registrations. The Toyota Yaris remains the best-seller in the country thanks to 178 sales and 5% share so far this year, while the Ford Fiesta is up two spots compared to the 4 months ranking to #2 at 161 units and 4.5%, down 25% on 2013. The Nissan Qashqai stays third, the Honda CR-V drops two spots to #4 and the Range Rover is still, amazingly, the 5th most popular vehicle in Cyprus so far in 2014 with sales up 282% year-on-year to 126 units for a 3.5% market share.

The Volvo XC60 gains two ranks compared to last month to land in 6th position at 121 units and 3.4% (+537%!), the VW Golf is up 4 to #8 and progresses by 74% on 2013, the Nissan Juke (#10) and Micra (#12) both gain one spot while the Toyota Corolla drops one but is still up a by gargantuan 569% year-on-year. +5 for the VW Up at #17, +336% for the Toyota RAV4 at #18 and +1040% for the Jaguar XF at #20 while the Renault Captur is up to #26 and the Mercedes CLA remains #30.
