United Arab Emirates March 2014: Land Cruiser back in the game
The Maserati Ghibli almost breaks into the UAE Top 100 this month.

Outstanding strength for the Emirati new car market in March: up 19% year-on-year to 35,706 registrations, bringing the year-to-date total to 100,441 units, up 14% on 2013. The Toyota Hilux is set for an exceptional year in 2014, delivering a third consecutive month in pole position thanks to 2,053 sales and 5.7% in March and adding up to 5,470 and 5.4% so far in 2014. Down to #4 over the Full Year 2013, the Toyota Land Cruiser is back in the game this month: up to a brilliant 2nd place at 1,688 units and 4.7%, passing the Toyota Prado at 1,540 sales and 4.3%. The Prado retains the 2nd spot year-to-date however above the Land Cruiser.
Another middle-eastern country where the facelifted Nissan Patrol is doing wonders: up two spots on February to become the best-selling non-Toyota at #4 with 1,451 sales and 4.1% and now threatening the Toyota Corolla for the 4th place year-to-date. Notice also the Nissan Sunny up 3 spots to #7, the Lexus LX up 7 to #15, BMW X5 up 42 to #16, Mitsubishi Lancer Fortis up 44 to #23, Nissan Micra up 92 to #29, Mitsubishi Attrage up 96 to #40 and the Maserati Ghibli stopping just 3 units off the UAE Top 100 as early as for its 2nd month in market at #103 with 60 sales.
