Venezuela March 2014: Dodge Forza #3 in market down 86%

Due to the current political trouble that is plaguing the country, new car sales in Venezuela are still running on an empty tank, down 86% year-on-year in March to just 1,674 registrations which is however more than January and February put together (1,539). In the brands ranking, Mitsubishi dominates this reduced market with 43% share while Ford (261 sales vs. 264 year-to-date) and Chrysler (210 sales vs. 222 year-to-date) spring back to life. Toyota for its part shuts down: only 4 sales this month vs. 542 year-to-date. The Mitsubishi Lancer continues to represent one in every 4 vehicles sold in the country (both in March and Q1) with the Civetchi (aka Dongfeng) Pick-up and Dodge Forza (a rebadged previous gen Fiat Siena) rounding up the podium.
