For the very first time on BSCB I can share with you a detailed brands ranking for the Réunion Island, an overseas French territory located East of Madagascar in the Indian Ocean and home of 800,000 inhabitants. New car sales on the island are down just 3% year-on-year to 23.880 registrations. Thanks to the 208 (potential leader) and the launch of the 301, Peugeot remains the most popular carmaker here thanks to 4,554 sales and 19.1% share, followed by Renault at 4,423 units and 18.5% with Citroen rounding a podium 100% French with 2,218 sales and 9.3%. Below Volkswagen down 7%, Hyundai gains two spots to rank #5, while Audi (+5%), Mercedes (+5%), Opel (+5%), Land Rover (+18%), Isuzu (+51%) and most spectacularly Alfa Romeo (+700%) shine.
