New Zealand January 2014: Fourth consecutive record month!

For the 4th consecutive month, New Zealand new car sales reach all time-high levels: January is the best of its kind since records started in 1981, up 13% year-on-year to 10,528 registrations. The Toyota Corolla remains the most popular model in the country by far thanks to 722 sales and 6.9% share, ahead of the Ford Ranger at 314 units and 3% and the Ford Focus up 7 spots on December to #3 with 301 sales and 2.9% share. Other great performers this month in New Zealand include the Nissan Navara up 12 to #4, the VW Golf up 11 to a best-ever 6th place at 239 units and 2.3%, Mitsubishi Lancer up to #12, Nissan Qashqai up to #13, Hyundai i30 up to #15, Mazda3 up to #18 and the Hyundai i20 up to #22.
