Kazakhstan Full Year 2013: Lada Priora tops world’s fastest growing market

In 2013, Kazakhstan is officially the fastest-growing new car market in the world, gaining 74% on 2012 to an all-time record 165,710 registrations. The Top 3 best-sellers are unchanged vs. 2012: the Lada Priora holds onto its throne thanks to sales up 70% to 20,358 and 12.3% share, the Lada Samara is less lucky: up ‘just’ 20% to 13,830 units and 8.3% while the Uz-Daewoo Nexia performs better than the market in spite of its old age, up 79% to 10,665 sales and 6.5%. The Lada Granta follows just below, up 89% to 9,880 units while the Lada 4×4 is down one spot to #5 in spite of sales up 67%, making it 4 Ladas in the Kazakh Top 5!

The Hyundai Accent almost doubles its 2012 score to 8,108 sales (+92%), the Kia Rio is up a splendid 10 spots and 224% to #8, the Lada Largus lands directly inside the Kazakh Top 10 for its very first year in market thanks to 3,489 units sold for a 2.1% market share, the Chevrolet Cruze is up 86% to also break into the Top 10 for the first time at #10, the Renault Duster is up 9-fold from one year to another, going from 307 sales and #47 to 2,754 and #13, the Nissan Qashqai is up 150% to #14, VW Polo up 265% to #19, the new generation Kia Cerato lands at #21, the Kia Sportage is up 231% to #24 and the Skoda Rapid makes its very first appearance in the annual Kazakh ranking at #26, even breaking into the monthly Top 10 in November.
