The Russian new car market goes through its 9th consecutive month of year-on-year decline in November at -4% to 231,982 registrations, reducing the year-to-date fall to -6% at 2,513,163 units. Below the Lada Granta down 5% to 12,190 sales and the Hyundai Solaris up 4% to 9,672 units, the big event this month is the Renault Duster breaking into the Russian sales charts podium for the very first time thanks to 7,563 sales and 3.3% after breaking its monthly volume record last month. This is an exceptional achievement for Renault-Dacia and testimony that the value for money the SUV brings has resonated with Russian customers across the country. Year-to-date, the Duster is up 86% on 2012 to #4 with 75726 units and 3% share.

The Kalina is taking time to return to the levels the first generation was familiar with, but is drastically reducing its year-on-year fall this month: from -66% in August to -58% in October and -13% in November at #7 and 5,838 units. Finally the Largus, a rebadged first generation Logan MCV, is down two spots on October but up 110% year-on-year to #8 with 5,194 sales.
