Venezuela September 2013: Mitsubishi Lancer holds onto #1 spot

New car sales in Venezuela are not showing any signs of recovery this year, down another 20% year-on-year to 7,649 registrations, bringing the year-to-date total to 81,950 units, down 17% on 2012. It looks like there is a little coup coming up in the models ranking: the Mitsubishi Lancer is #1 for the 2nd month in a row and the third time in the last 4 months thanks to 820 sales and a huge 10.7% market share, now adding up to 6,366 and 7.8% vs. 8,167 and 10% for the Chevrolet Aveo, back up to #2 this month. The two record-breaking Chevrolets from last month stay at very high levels, both at 7.6% share and within one unit of each other: the Cruze is #3 and Orlando #4. Notice also the Toyota Land Cruiser up 5 spots to #6 thanks to government orders and the Chevrolet Tahoe up 7 to #13.
