Hong Kong (China) June 2013: Mercedes places 3 models in Top 8

4,079 new vehicles found a buyer in Hong Kong on June, bring the year-to-date total to 23,207 units halfway through 2013. The Top 2 best-sellers in the territory are unchanged on last month, but they both improve on their May scores: the Toyota Hiace is #1 for the third month in a row, going from 4.4% share last month to 6% in June thanks to 243 sales, while the VW Golf maintains itself inside the Hong Kong podium for the 4th consecutive time at 198 units and 4.9% compared to 3.7% in May. The BMW 5 Series, back up 4 spots on May to #3 with 193 sales and 4.3%, remains the best-seller so far in 2013, but just: with 1,065 units and 4.6% it now only has a 24 units advantage over the Toyota Hiace…

The Porsche Cayman ranks within the Hong Kong Top 50 this month.

Justifying its #2 spot in the brands ranking with a massive 12.8% share below only Toyota (18.1%), Mercedes places no less than 3 models inside the Hong Kong Top 8 this month: the E-Class, boosted by the new model, is up a massive 24 spots on May to #4 with 168 sales and 4.1% and is now also #4 year-to-date, the ML-Class is down 2 ranks to a still very impressive #7 and the C-Class is up 6 to #8. BMW for its part places 3 models inside the Top 11 with the 3 Series at #6 and the 1 Series at #11. Notice also the Lexus IS up 125 spots to #33 and the Porsche Cayman up 40 to #48.
