With 3,084 new vehicles sold in Hong Kong in February, the total market now stands at 6,877 units year-to-date. #2 last month and #3 over the Full Year 2012, the BMW 5 Series now takes the lead thanks to 203 sales and an excellent 6.6% market share, meaning it is now also in pole position year-to-date at 472 units and 6.9% given last month’s and last year’s leader, the Mercedes E-Class, is down to #7 in February. The Toyota Hiace is up 3 spots to #2 with 143 sales and 4.6% while the Honda Freed impresses, up a huge 39 ranks to land in third position at 133 units and 4.3%.
Other great performers this month include the Lexus RX back up 27 spots to #4, the Nissan Serena up 6 to #5, Toyota Previa up 16 to #6, Mercedes C-Class up 21 to #9, Mercedes ML-Class solid at #11 vs. #38 over the FY2012, VW Jetta up 6 to #15, Toyota Corolla up to #18 vs. #83 in 2012, Suzuki Solio up 102 ranks on January to #23 and the Mazda6 up 78 to #39.
