Singapore Full Year 2012: BMW best-seller for 2nd year running

After ending almost one decade of Toyota domination last year, BMW is once again the most popular carmaker in Singapore with 5,038 sales, up 2% on 2011. In fact the entire Top 5 is unchanged on 2011, with Mercedes taking the 2nd spot at 4,323 units (+4%), Toyota rounding up the podium with 4,272 sales (+20%), Volkswagen at #4 and 3,567 units (+11%) and Audi at #5 with 1,679 sales (-20%). Volvo is up 28% to #7 and Peugeot is one of the Top 10 best-selling brands in the country for the first time ever, up 22% and 3 spots to #10.
Further down, Porsche remains at an extraordinary 12th place with 507 sales, Land Rover is up 65% to #14, Ford up 49% to #17, Opel up 60% to #23 thanks to a relaunch of the brand this year, Bentley is up a fantastic 55% to #24 and Infiniti is up to #27 for its first full year in market. 3 carmakers appear in the ranking this year: McLaren sells 33 units at #35, Foton is #43 with 9 sales and Tesla sells one unit.
