Oman November 2012: Nissan Altima in Top 10

The Omani new car market is up 17% year-on-year in November to 17,339 registrations, bringing the year-to-date total to 188,138 units, up 22% on 2011. The Full Year 2011 total (168,789) was passed by end-October. October highlights included the Nissan D22 at #5, Toyota Fortuner at #13, Nissan Pathfinder at #23, Nissan Patrol Pick-up at #31 and Mercedes S-Class at #54. In November and as is the tradition in the country, Toyota and Nissan totally dominate the models ranking: Toyota places 6 models in the Top 6 and Nissan holds the remaining 4 spots in the Top 10!
The Hilux and Land Cruiser Pick-up are the 2 best-sellers this month like in the year-to-date ranking with 15.2% and 9.4% share respectively vs. 14.4% and 8.8% year-to-date. The Toyota Prado excels in Oman this month with 1,436 sales and 8.3% share vs. 5.8% in October and 7.1% YTD, it ranks third ahead of the Toyota Land Cruiser at 8.2% with the Corolla (3.9%) and Hiace (3.7%) following. Exceptional performance of the Nissan Altima and Patrol both up 10 spots to #8 and #10 respectively.
