The new Light Commercial Vehicle market is down 24% year-on-year in November in the Netherlands to 4,091 registrations, bringing the year-to-date total to 55,051 units, down 3% on 2011. The VW Caddy (11.3%) and Transporter (9.8%) dominate the ranking again, albeit at levels slightly below their year-to-date market shares. The Opel Vivaro is up 2 spots on October to land on the podium like one year ago, passing the Mercedes Sprinter and Peugeot Partner both down one rank to #4 and #5 respectively.
The big event this month in the Dutch LCV world is the arrival at an excellent 11th place of the all-new Mercedes Citan with 144 sales and 3.5% share, with a spot in the Top 10 almost a certainty within the next couple of months. The other newcomer in the Top 30 is the Ford Transit Custom landing directly at #22 with 51 units and 1.2%. Finally, notice also the Renault Trafic up 3 to #6, the Renault Master at #8 and 5.1% vs. 3.8% year-to-date and the Fiat Ducato up 7 to #13.
