Macedonia November 2012: VW Golf reclaims pole position

The Republic of Macedonia is now a monthly fixture on BSCB thanks to Rutger, and November brings the Macedonian new car market deeper into recession, with sales down 32% to 301 units and the year-to-date total now standing at 3,798 registrations, down 33% on 2011. The VW Golf reclaims its traditional pole position with an excellent 24 units sold for a 8% market share, reinforcing its 2012 year-to-date leadership at 238 sales and 6.3%. The Opel Astra is down to #2 with 16 units and 5.3% along with the Ford Fiesta, and stays #2 year-to-date at 165 sales and 4.3%.
Excellent month for the Suzuki SX4 at #4 with 12 units and the Mitsubishi Colt at #5 with 11 sales, while the Ford Focus (#7), Peugeot Partner (#9) and Citroen C3 (#10) also shine. Year-to-date, there are still 3 Volkswagens in the Top 4 with the VW Polo ranking #3 at 128 units and 3.4% and the VW Passat at #4 with 123 sales and 3.3%. Brand-wise, Volkswagen continues to dominate with 11.6% share in November and 15.3% year-to-date, Opel is up to #2 at 9.3%, and Ford (#3), Peugeot (#5), Mitsubishi (#8) and Suzuki (#9) shine.
