This month looks like it’s going to deliver one of the worst November sales on record in France, down 25% year-on-year to 102,285 units over the first 26 days. Renault is back in pole position but drops an alarming 39% to 15,948 sales, followed by Peugeot (-28%) and Citroen (-31%). Within the Top 10 brands, only Toyota gains ground year-on-year at #6 and +10%, while Audi is at -6% and Volkswagen at -11%.
The Renault Clio IV-Peugeot 208 duel has well and truly kicked off, with Renault sales traditionally strong towards the end of the month and the Clio IV now only 12 units below the 208 at 4,548 sales and 4.4% vs. 4,560 and 4.5%! It looks like November will be the first time the Clio IV leads the models ranking in France or any country in the world for that matter.
Below the Citroen C3 at a solid 3.6% share, the VW Polo is holding onto its brilliant 4th place with 2,874 sales and 2.8% but should be passed by at least the Renault Scenic by the end of the month. The Peugeot 3008 and Citroen C4 are strong at #6 and #7 respectively, while the Ford Fiesta (#8) and VW Golf (#10) both maintain themselves within the Top 10 for now. Notice also the Toyota Yaris at #15.
