Netherlands LCV Full Year 2011: VW Caddy & Transporter lead

December is always a little bit awkward in the Netherlands and with just 1,783 sales the Light Commercial Vehicles market is no exception. A total of 58,654 LCVs were registered this year, up a very robust 18% on 2010 and a stronger increase than the passenger cars segment. The VW Caddy keeps the title of best-selling LCV in the Netherlands with 7,623 sales, up a brilliant 25% and increasing its market share to 13%.

The VW Transporter stays 2nd at 6,502 units and 11.1% up 18%, followed like in 2010 by the Ford Transit, also up 18% to 3,809 sales and 6.5%. Excellent performance of the Mercedes Vito up 3 spots and 34% to #4 and 3,496 units, ahead of the Mercedes Sprinter (+10%), Opel Vivaro (+28%) and Renault Trafic (+16%).

Other great performers this year include the Peugeot Partner up 51% to #8, Renault Master up 49% to #9, Iveco Daily up 33% to #13, Opel Movano up 127% to #17 and Fiat Fiorino up 42% to #22.
