Ireland June 2011: Ford Focus reclaims leadership, Clio #2
Excellent month for car sales in Ireland: up 32% year-on-year at 10,944 registrations. The market is up 15% at 76,468 units. The Ford Focus confirms it has returned to its traditional position in Ireland, #1 again with a strong 7.1% share and back to #1 year-to-date also at 4.8%.
After the Renault Fluence in May, it’s the turn of the Renault Clio to shine in 2nd place this month with 613 sales and 5.6%, ahead of the VW Golf at 4.7%. The Fluence is #4 at 4% and the Toyota Yaris is #5 at 3.9%.
Other good performers this month in include the Nissan Juke at #17, the Hyundai ix20 at #33 and the Nissan Pixo at #34. Suzuki has a stellar month with Swift up to #42 and the SX4 at #47.
