Turkey October 2010: Symbol #1, threatens Accent YTD

October is up an astounding 246% year-on-year in Turkey with 47,859 registrations, the 10 months total being now up 22% at 360,262 units.

The Renault Symbol is #1 again this month and stays above 6% market share. Provided it continues at that rate, it will pass the Hyundai Accent in the year-to-date ranking before the end of 2010. The Renault Fluence drops two spots in 4th, but even though the Ford Fiesta passes it in October, its 3rd place YTD won’t be in danger and it should close the podium by end 2010.

The Toyota Corolla returns to a more traditional level in 5th and loses its 4th spot YTD to the Ford Fiesta. Very good month for the Ford Focus (#9), VW Jetta (#11) helped by the new generation, Fiat Punto Evo (#13) and Nissan Qashqai (#15).
