Denmark January-October 2010: Aygo #1, Fiat 500 #2

Very robust car market in Denmark in 2010: +34% in October and +36% year-to-date. The Toyota Aygo takes the lead in the year-to-date ranking with 3,771 sales and 3% of the market, whereas the Fiat 500 was #1 up until last month. At 3% YTD the Fiat is nearly as strong in Denmark as it is in Italy (3.5% YTD)!

The Danish market is very fragmented with the Top 5 YTD within 0.3% market share: the Ford Fiesta is #3 thanks to an enormous October (6.7%), ahead of the Opel Corsa and the Chevrolet Spark. The Top 8 is 100% minis.

Notice the relatively low score of the VW Golf (11th), and the strength of the “Kolin sisters” (Aygo/107/C1) like in the Netherlands: their combined YTD sales reach 9,229 units or 7.4% of the market! The Suzuki Swift new gen is a hit in October in 4th with 3.2%.
