Brazil October 2010: Gol at 9%
The Brazilian market keeps on delivering very solid figures month after month: it is at 287,537 registrations in October (+2% – third market in the world after China and the USA), and 2,656,461 units over 10 months 2010 (+7%).
The models ranking is very stable with the VW Gol at an imposing 9% market share (25,860 registrations), floating away from the Fiat Uno (from 8.2% in Sept to 7.7% in Oct). The Chevrolet Corsa sedan completes the podium at 4.7% and the Renault Logan comes back into the Top 20 at 1.2%.
Only deep into the ranking can we get a bit of fizz: the new Citroen C3 Aircross, a “4WD” version of the C3 Picasso, a la CrossFox, manages 786 sales in 67th place (compared to 153 sales in Sept), and the Chery Face (aka A1) is the best-selling Chinese car in Brazil with 549 sales in 81st position (+22% vs. September).
