Czech Republic Full Year 2007: Podium 100% Skoda (Fabia/Octavia/Roomster)

Skoda Fabia

March 2020 update: Now with Top 53 All-brands and Top 310 All-models.

In a Czech market up 6.9% at 132.542 registrations, Skoda (-5.3%) falls below the symbolic 40% share at 37%. Ford (+56.5%) surges 4 spots to land in 2nd place at 6.4% share, distancing Renault (-8.5%) at 5.6%, Volkswagen (-1%) at 5.3% and Peugeot (+13.2%) at 4.9%.

First podium finish for the Skoda Roomster.

Skoda monopolises the models podium for the first time since the Eastern European countries opened to competition. The Skoda Fabia (-16.1%) is the best seller for 8th consecutive year, however its market share drops almost 6 percentage points to 20.8% in spite of the Phase 2 launch during the year.

Ford Fusion

The Skoda Octavia is up 2.5% but sees its share thaw slightly at 11.3%. For its first full year of sales, the Skoda Roomster moves almost 4.500 units for a brilliant 3.4% share at #3. Big surprise atop imports: the Ford Fusion (+233.5%) lifts up 25 spots to land at #4 overall with 2.1% of the market, the only foreign model to grab more than 2% share this year. The Toyota Yaris remains at #5, the Peugeot 207 (+176.4%) is up to #6 and the Kia Cee’d, produced in neighbouring Slovakia, lands at #10.
