New Zealand 2006: Commodore & Corolla only 79 sales apart!

In a stable market at 76,804 registrations, the fight for the pole position between the Holden Commodore and the Toyota Corolla has never been that tight: the Commodore, perhaps helped by the arrival of the new generation at the end of the year, loses 8% but keeps its title with 5,376 sales and 7% share, only 79 units above the Toyota Corolla at 5,297 sales and 6.9%!

In 3rd, the Ford Falcon drops 8% at 4,199 sales and 5.5%, followed by the Mazda6 (3.3%) and Toyota Camry (2.8%). Strong progressions for the Suzuki Swift (#6 at +21%), Ford Focus (#7 at +42%) and Honda Jazz (#8 at +20%).
