Hungary 2000: Suzuki down 12% to 21.1% in record market
Suzuki holds 21.1% of the Hungarian market in 2000.

New car sales in Hungary edge up 2.3% year-on-year in 2000 to 132.876, their highest level since we started following Hungary annually in 1993. Suzuki remains the most popular carmaker in the country but drops 12% and 3.5 percentage points of market share to 21.1%. Opel on the other hand is up 5% to 15.5%, ahead of Volkswagen (+7%) at 8.4% and Renault up 35% and three spots to #4 and 7.6%. Citroen (+56%), Peugeot (+32%), Seat (+24%), Skoda (+19%) and Toyota (+18%) also shine in the Top 15 whereas Ford (-31%), Honda (-25%) and Daewoo (-15%) struggle.
