Romania 1995: Dacia 1310 above 60% share
The Dacia 1310 holds over 60% share of the Romanian market in 1995.
New car sales in Romania surge 61.8% year-on-year in 1995 to 93.097 units which is the largest volume we have on record for this market – official data starts in 1985 for Romania. Homegrown manufacturer Dacia holds a suffocating grip on the market, just under 70% share ahead of Korean Daewoo at 19.6% and local fare Aro at 5.9%. These three brands hold 95.2% of Romanian sales in 1995. Model-wise, the Dacia 1310 accounts for more than 6 in every 10 cars sold in the country for the year, with the Daewoo Nexia in 2nd place at 13.2% and the Dacia Pickup at 8.6%. Daewoo also places the Espero at #4 and the Tico at #6, while Aro has the 24 at #5
