Ireland 1991: Nissan (+2.1%) survives in market down -16.6%

Nissan posts the only year-on-year gain in the Irish Top 15.

The Irish new car market sinks -16.6% year-on-year in 1991 to just 67.749 registrations, but the Top 2 brands remain unchanged: Toyota (-21.4%) and Ford (-22.1%) still lead the charge even though they both lose significantly more ground than the market. Nissan (+2.1%) posts the only gain in the Top 15 to climb onto the podium at #3, overtaking Opel (-21.2%) while VW/Audi remains at #5. Honda (-2.6%) and Mazda (-2.8%) resist.
