Ireland 1990: Toyota best-seller ahead of Ford and Opel
Toyota holds 16.4% of the Irish new car market in 1990.
81.243 new cars found a new home in Ireland in 1990. Toyota is the most popular carmaker in the country this year at 16.4% share, distancing Ford (15.3%), Opel (10.9%), Nissan (10.1%) and VW/Audi (7.8%). Mazda shines in 6th place ahead of Peugeot, Renault, Mitsubishi and Fiat.
