UK nations November 2017: DS 3 storms into Northern Irish Top 10

The DS 3 ranks at a surprise 8th place in Northern Ireland this month.

Thanks to our partnership with SMMT we can share with you the Top 10 best-sellers for each UK nation in November. Keep in mind this is only a zoom in by nation, all sales figures will be included in the upcoming November UK update. Only Northern Ireland manages to keep its head above the water this month with a minuscule 0.1% year-on-year gain to 3.134 sales, whereas England (-10.2% to 142.900), Wales (-10.4% to 5.522) and most strikingly Scotland (-24.2% to 11.585) all fall heavily. Year-to-date, England is the best performing UK nation with a 4.6% decline to 2.057.968 units, followed by Northern Ireland down 4.9% to 52.556, Scotland down 7.1% to 193.371 and Wales down 10.3% to 78.148.

The Vauxhall Insignia is up to #6 in Scotland in November. 

Leader nationally, the Ford Fiesta tops three of the four UK nations: England, Scotland and Wales while the Hyundai Tucson snaps the pole position in Northern Ireland for the second time this year after last April. The Mini justifies its third place nationally by ranking at #3 in England, #2 in Scotland and #5 in Wales while the BMW 1 Series is #5 in England (one spot above its national ranking this month) but also #6 in Wales. Eighth nationally, the Kia Sportage appears in the Top 10 of 3 nations: England (#9), Northern Ireland (#5) and Scotland (#10) where it is its first appearance at that level. Although #1 in Scotland YTD, the Vauxhall Corsa is outside the Top 10 there for the second month running. Notable performances include the Skoda Fabia breaking into the Northern Irish YTD Top 10, the Vauxhall Insignia up to #6 in Scotland and the Hyundai i20 posting its first Scottish Top 10 ranking at #7. Finally the surprise of the month goes to the DS 3 up to a fantastic 8th place in Northern Ireland.
