Greece October 2017: BMW X1 in Top 10 in market up 26.2%

The BMW X1 breaks into the Greek Top 10 in October thanks to sales up 159%.

Greek new car sales post a third consecutive month of 20%+ year-on-year gains in October at a splendid +26.2% to 6.306 registrations, lifting the year-to-date volume up 11.7% to 76.164 units. Toyota remains by far the best-selling carmaker in the country despite trailing the market at +11% to 12.4% share. Like last month, it is followed by Opel, up 24% to 9% share and now #4 year-to-date above Peugeot, itself up 47% to #3 and 7% share. Below Volkswagen struggling at -18% to 6.1%, Ford edges up 1% to 5.8% in 5th place. Hyundai (+98%) and Renault (+82%) post the largest year-onyear gains in the Top 10. Beyond, Citroen (+48%), Kia (+73%), Audi (+82%), Subaru (+100%), Land Rover (+120%), Mitsubishi (+142%) and Skoda (+184%) all impress.

The Audi Q2 is inside the Greek Top 20 this month.

In the models ranking, the Toyota Yaris is faithful to the pole position it holds year-to-date, distancing the Opel Corsa (+59%), Renault Clio (+82%) and Peugeot 208 (+47%) all posting market-beating progressions. The Fiat Panda (+50%), Hyundai i20 (+91%) and BMW X1 (+159%) also sign impressive gains inside the Top 10. Beyond, the Citroen C3 (+200%), Ford Kuga (+3533!), Peugeot 2008 (+231%) and Skoda Octavia (+146%) deliver spectacular growth rates. The Audi Q2 (#18) tops recent launches above the Toyota C-HR (#31), Suzuki Ignis (#37), Jeep Compass (#52) and Opel Crossland X (#58). In October we welcome the Kia Stonic (#74), Citroen C3 Aircross (#110) and Seat Arona (#117) in the Greek sales charts.
