Kazakhstan February 2017: Lada 4×4 holds on tight
The Lada 4×4 is once again the best-seller in Kazakhstan.

Thanks to our partnership with autoconsulting.kz, we can share with you today official data for the Kazakh new car market for February, still in poor form at just 2.843 units for the month and 5.309 year-to-date, down 24% on the same period in 2016. Brand-wise, Lada reclaims the top spot off Toyota at 587 sales and 20.6% share vs. 473 and 16.6% and is now also #1 year-to-date at 982 vs. 876 units. Renault remains in third place with 8.4% of the Kazakh market, followed by GAZ and Ravon (previously known as UZ-Daewoo) both up one spot on January to overtake Hyundai. Notice also Nissan at #9 and Iveco at #38. The Lada 4×4 is once again the best-selling nameplate in the country, and by a large margin with 255 sales and 9% share vs. 187 and 6.6% for the #2, 2016 market leader the Toyota Camry. The Lada Largus is up 41 spots (!) on January to land on the third step of the podium ahead of the GAZ Gazelle and Ravon Nexia R3. The Hyundai Creta conforms it is a blockbuster in Kazakhstan by holding onto the 9th spot it already occupied in January.
