Poland July 2016: Volkswagen up 28%, Dacia up 49% in market up 5%
Dacia sales are up 49% year-on-year in Poland in July, and the Dokker ranks inside the Top 40.

The Polish new car market adds another 5% year-on-year gain in July to 35.687 units, leading to a year-to-date tally up a stunning 17% to 276.158. Surprise atop the brands ranking: Volkswagen overtakes its stablemate Skoda to take the lead thanks to sales up 28% to 4.031 and 11.3% share vs. 3.743 and 10.5% (+10%) for Skoda, which remains #1 year-to-date. Toyota (-11%) and Opel (-10%) follow but struggle, ahead of Ford (+20%), Renault (+9%) and Dacia particularly impressive at +49%, by far the largest gain inside the Top 15 brands in July. Mercedes also impresses with deliveries up 21% to 1.301 for a 3.6% market share. Model-wise, the Skoda Octavia (+9%), Fabia (+1%), Opel Astra (+9%), VW Golf (-10%) and Toyota Yaris (-2%) reproduce the year-to-date Top 5, followed by the VW Passat (+32%) and Ford Focus (+30%) both posting sizeable gains. The Dacia Duster is up 28% to #9, the Hyundai Tucson is up 8 spots on June to a stunning 11th place, the Suzuki Vitara is up to #27 and the Dacia Dokker up to #37.
