Europe October 2015: Now with Top 340 models and All-brands

After temporary Top 10 figures, as is the tradition on BSCB we now explore the European brands and models rankings in their full detail. Final figures show Europe-wide October volumes slowing down their growth at just +2% to 1.134.278 units, bringing the year-to-date total to 11.826.399 deliveries, up 8% or more than 900.000 units on the same period in 2014. After being originally announced at -0.2%, Volkswagen’s European drop in October stands at a final and still very contained -0.4%. Ford, Renault and Peugeot (+1%) as well as Audi (+3%) post timid gains while Opel/Vauxhall falls 2%. BMW impresses at +13%, as do Mercedes and Fiat, both up 9%. Outside the Top 10, notice Mazda up 30%, Suzuki up 15%, Land Rover up 34%, Smart up 223%, Jeep up 67% and Jaguar up 81%.

Over in the models ranking, final figures bring one change to the temporary Top 10 we published a few weeks ago: the Opel Corsa overtakes the Peugeot 208 to 6th place. The Audi A3 jumps back up 7 ranks to #12, the Fiat Panda is up 3 to #13 and the Skoda Fabia up 5 to #16. In the luxury segment, the BMW 3 Series (-2%) is back above the Mercedes C-Class (-9%). Two recently launched SUVs break into the European Top 50 for the first time: the Renault Kadjar is up 36 spots to #40 and the reborn Hyundai Tucson is up 24 to #43. The Fiat 500X for its part lodges a second consecutive month at a best-ever #49. Further down, the Suzuki Vitara is up 16 ranks to #67, the Ford Ecosport and Mazda CX-3 are both up 9 spots to record rankings at #89 and #95 respectively and the Mercedes GLC jumps 35 to #102
