Malaysia July 2015: Now with Top 60 models (BSCB exclusive)
The Proton Saga overtakes the Perodua Alza to rank #3 year-to-date in 2015.

For the second month in a row we can share with you an exclusive Top 60 models ranking for Malaysia. The Perodua Axia cements its newfound leadership thanks to 15.1% market share, while the Proton Saga confirms it could maintain its 2nd spot in the long term below Perodua’s best-seller: thanks to 5.264 sales and 9% share in July, the Saga overtakes the Alza to now rank #3 so far in 2015, and could pass the Myvi (4.604 units this month) before the end of the year. The Honda City (6%) remains the most popular foreign nameplate in the country above the Toyota Vios (5%) while the Honda HR-V stays at an outstanding 7th place – and third best-selling foreigner – with 4.2% of the Malaysian market, now inside the year-to-date Top 10.
The Nissan Teana is up to #25 this month in Malaysia.
The Proton Iriz lodges a 6th month out of 7 inside its domestic Top 10 with 2.8% market share vs. 2.4% in 2015. Further down, the Proton Prevé is up to #13 vs. #17 so far this year, the Mazda CX-5 is up two spots on June to #16, the VW Polo leaps to #23 vs. #36 year-to-date, the Nissan Teana is up to #25 vs. #40, the Nissan X-Trail up to #33 vs. #48, Proton Suprima S up to #37 vs. #50, Mazda2 up to #42 vs. #74 and the Mercedes CLA up to #47 vs. #56.
