Based on data reported by Central European market data specialists www.ceauto.co.hu, the Serbian new car market is up a robust 10% year-on-year in May to 2.209 registrations, lifting the year-to-date total back to positive territory at 8.907 units, up 2% on 2014. For the first time since last November, the locally-produced Fiat 500L reclaims the pole position it held over the Full Year 2013 thanks to 131 sales and 5.9%. But the fight was intense with another Fiat that we see inside the Serbian Top 10 for the first time since BSCB has been following this country monthly: the Florino, landing at #2 with 123 units and 5.6% share. The Skoda Fabia gains one spot on April to #3 and remains #1 year-to-date for now with 527 sales and 5.9% share vs. 497 and 5.6% for the Fiat 500L.
