Bahrain January 2014: Toyota Land Cruiser triumphs

After gaining 43% year-on-year last January, new car sales in Bahrain continue on their explosive growth: up another 24% to start the year 2014 at 5,394 registrations. Dislodged from the pole position by the Toyota Prado over the Full Year 2013, the Toyota Land Cruiser reclaims the advantage this month with a triumphant 892 sales and 16.5% share vs. 537 and 10% for the Prado. The Toyota Hilux (7.1%), Corolla (5.2%) and Hyundai Tucson (3.6%) remain at their FY 2013 levels.
The Kia Sportage is up 9 spots on its 2013 ranking to a splendid 6th place thanks to 163 sales and 3% share, the Toyota Yaris is up 7 to #9, the Mitsubishi L200 up 10 to #14 and the Jeep Grand Cherokee up 13 to #18. Further down, notice the Nissan Patrol up 17 to #31, the BMW 7 Series up a huge 52 ranks to #24, the BMW 6 Series up an even more impressive 66 spots to #31 and the Ford Figo up 58 to #47.
